HAVING THE MIND OF GOD

Having the mind of God is a concept that is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Bible. It is the idea of aligning our thoughts, beliefs, and actions with those of God, in order to live a life that is pleasing to Him. This concept is not only important for our spiritual growth, but it also has a profound impact on how we interact with others and navigate the challenges of life.

One of the key verses that speaks to having the mind of God is found in Philippians 2:5, which says,

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”

This verse encourages us to adopt the same mindset that Jesus had during His time on earth. Jesus was always in tune with the will of God, and He lived His life in a way that reflected that alignment. By following His example, we can learn to think and act in a way that is pleasing to God.

Another important verse that speaks to having the mind of God is found in Romans 12:2, which says,

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This verse reminds us that in order to have the mind of God, we must be willing to let go of worldly thinking and allow God to transform our minds. This transformation allows us to better understand and align ourselves with God’s will for our lives.

Having the mind of God also involves seeking wisdom and guidance from the Word of God. Proverbs 2:6 tells us,

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

By immersing ourselves in the teachings of the Bible, we can gain a deeper understanding of God’s will and purpose for our lives. This knowledge equips us to make decisions that are in line with His plan for us.

In order to have the mind of God, we must also cultivate a spirit of humility and obedience. James 4:10 reminds us,

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

By submitting ourselves to God and His will, we demonstrate our trust in His wisdom and guidance. This humility allows us to be open to His leading and direction in our lives.

In conclusion, having the mind of God is a powerful concept that can transform our lives and relationships. By aligning our thoughts, beliefs, and actions with those of God, we can experience a deeper sense of peace, purpose, and fulfillment. Through prayer, study of the Word, and obedience to His will, we can cultivate a mindset that reflects the heart of God. May we strive each day to have the mind of God and walk in His ways.

AMENDING YOUR MISTAKE

“For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, so that we should no longer be slaves to sin—” (Romans 6:6).

We all make mistakes, but God offers redemption and restoration. Through faith in Christ, we can:

  1. Acknowledge our sins (1 John 1:9)
  2. Repent and turn away (Acts 3:19)
  3. Seek forgiveness (Matthew 6:14-15)
  4. Make amends (Matthew 5:23-24)

God’s grace empowers us to learn from mistakes, grow, and become better versions of ourselves.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9).

When we make mistakes:

  1. Own up to them (acknowledge)
  2. Seek forgiveness (from God and others)
  3. Make restitution (where possible)
  4. Learn and grow

God’s mercy and grace

Offers redemption
Provides restoration
Give us a fresh start

“Come now, let us reason together…. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18).

COSTLY MISTAKE: LEARNING FROM BIBLICAL EXAMPLES.

Mistakes are a part of life, and we all make them from time to time. However, some mistakes can be more costly than others, leading to serious consequences that can impact our lives in significant ways. In the Bible, there are numerous examples of individuals who made costly mistakes, providing us with valuable lessons on the importance of making wise decisions and avoiding actions that can lead to harm.

One such example is the story of King David, who made a costly mistake when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and then had her husband, Uriah, killed to cover up his sin. This act of betrayal not only had devastating consequences for David and his family but also brought judgment upon the entire nation of Israel. In 2 Samuel 12:10, the prophet Nathan confronts David about his sin, saying,

“Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.”

This story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of integrity and the consequences of giving in to temptation. It also highlights the need for repentance and seeking forgiveness when we make mistakes, as David eventually did when he confessed his sin and sought God’s mercy.

Another example of a costly mistake in the Bible is the story of Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. In Matthew 26:14-16, it says,

“Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, ‘What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?’ And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.”

Judas’ betrayal of Jesus ultimately led to his own downfall, as he later regretted his actions and tried to return the money, only to be overcome with guilt and shame. This tragic story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of greed and the consequences of betraying those we love.

In both of these examples, we see the importance of making wise choices and avoiding actions that can lead to costly mistakes. By studying the stories of individuals in the Bible who have made errors in judgment, we can learn valuable lessons about the importance of integrity, repentance, and seeking forgiveness when we fall short.

As we navigate through life, it is essential to remember that we are all prone to making mistakes, but it is how we respond to those mistakes that ultimately defines our character. By seeking guidance from the Bible and learning from the examples of those who have gone before us, we can strive to make wise decisions and avoid costly mistakes that can have lasting consequences.

GO FOR PERSONAL GROWTH

In life, we are constantly faced with challenges and obstacles that test our strength and resilience. It is during these times that we must turn to the Bible for guidance and inspiration. The Bible is filled with verses that encourage us to grow in our faith and trust in God’s plan for us.

One such verse is found in Isaiah 40:31, which says,

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

This verse reminds us that when we put our trust in God, He will give us the strength to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.

Another important aspect of growth is guarding our weaknesses. In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, we are reminded that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness. It is through our weaknesses that God can work in us and show His strength. By acknowledging our weaknesses and relying on God’s strength, we can grow and become stronger in our faith.

As we strive for growth in our lives, it is important to remember that we are not alone in our journey. Philippians 4:13 tells us,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

With God by our side, we can overcome any challenge and grow in our faith and strength.

In conclusion, the Bible is a powerful tool for growth and strength. By meditating on verses that encourage growth and trusting in God’s plan for us, we can become stronger in our faith and overcome any obstacle that comes our way. Let us go forth with confidence, guarding our weaknesses and relying on God’s strength to guide us on our journey towards growth.

TOPIC: SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD

In a world filled with noise and distractions, it can be easy to lose sight of what truly matters. As Christians, it is important to remember the power of speaking the word of God and pattern our lives with His teachings. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21,

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” This verse reminds us of the immense power that our words hold.

When we speak the word of God, we are not only sharing His message with others, but we are also reinforcing our own beliefs and values. By consistently speaking and meditating on His word, we are shaping our minds and hearts to align with His will. This practice helps us to stay grounded in our faith and navigate life’s challenges with grace and wisdom.

Keywords pattern our lives with God’s word. By choosing to focus on specific keywords or phrases from the Bible, we can create a framework for how we want to live our lives. For example, if we choose the keyword “love,” we can strive to show love and compassion to others in all that we do. By pattern our lives with God’s word in this way, we are actively seeking to live out His teachings and bring glory to His name.

Bible verses are powerful tools that can guide us in our daily lives. When we memorize and meditate on specific verses, we are equipping ourselves with the wisdom and strength needed to face any situation. For example, Philippians 4:13 reminds us that

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

This verse serves as a powerful reminder that we are never alone and that God is always with us, empowering us to overcome any obstacle.

The power in our words cannot be underestimated. As Christians, we have the ability to speak life and blessings over ourselves and others. By choosing to speak words of encouragement, love, and faith, we are creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere that reflects God’s love. On the other hand, negative and hurtful words can have a damaging impact on ourselves and those around us. It is important to be mindful of the words we speak and strive to align them with God’s truth.

In conclusion, speaking the word of God and pattern our lives with His teachings is essential for every Christian. By focusing on keywords, Bible verses, and the power of our words, we can cultivate a deeper relationship with God and live out His will in our daily lives. Let us strive to speak words of love, faith, and encouragement, knowing that our words have the power to shape our reality and bring glory to God.

RADIANT LIFE DEVOTIONAL – 20TH JULY 2025

TOPIC:

SHINNING AS LIGHT.

As believers, we are called to shine as lights in a dark world. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:14-16,

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

This verse reminds us that we are called to be a beacon of hope and truth in a world that is often filled with darkness. It is easy to be overshadowed by the darkness that surrounds us, but we must remember that we have the light of God within us. We have the power to bring light into the lives of those around us, to bring hope where there is despair, and to bring love where there is hate.

It is important for us to remember that we are not called to blend in with the darkness, but to stand out as a shining light. We are called to be different, to be set apart, and to be a reflection of God’s love and grace. We must not be afraid to let our light shine brightly, even when it may be uncomfortable or unpopular.

In Ephesians 5:8, we are reminded, “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” This verse serves as a powerful reminder that we have been transformed from darkness into light through our relationship with Christ. We are called to walk in the light, to live lives that reflect the love and truth of God.

As we strive to shine as lights in a dark world, we must remember that our light comes from God. We cannot shine on our own strength or power, but only through the power of the Holy Spirit working within us. We must continually seek God’s guidance and strength as we seek to be a light in the world.

So let us not be overshadowed by the darkness that surrounds us, but let us shine brightly as lights of God’s love and grace. Let us be a beacon of hope and truth in a world that is in desperate need of light. Let us remember that we are called to be the light of God, and to let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.

RADIANT LIFE 19TH JULY 2025.

Costly Sacrifice

And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. 2Samuel. 24:24.

The gift of a man makes way for him and makes him stand before kings and win favour from them. Great sacrifice begets great blessings and opens great doors. Many times we considered costly sacrifice as offering something big and nicely looking, but it goes beyond that, costly sacrifice does not depend on size or looks of the gift, although it is important that we ought to offer something nice, but more than that, the heart that offers the sacrifice is important.

A sacrifice of clay can worth the price of gold when the heart is right, but when the heart is not right the sacrifice of gold can be seen as trash. David said that he will not give the Lord a gift that will cost him nothing. That is the sacrifice coming from the right heart. Sometimes we give worthy gifts to whom we value and cherish. The state of your heart is more important than the gift and only the heart of gold can give costly sacrifice.

Prayer points:

Lord, please give me the right heart to always honour you with my substance, in Jesus name, Amen.

Declaration:

This year is my year of abundance, favour and success; I am walking in dominion, in Jesus name, Amen!

RADIANT LIFE 18TH JULY 2025

LIVING THE LIFE

Christianity is a way of life not a religion, Christ gave us life not religion, but we gave ourselves religion and we are holding unto it rather than holding unto the life Christ gave us.

This is a life that is expected of us all to live by and that life set us apart from others and gives us an edge to make the difference in this world. Interestingly, there are lots of Christian today, but few living the life, the others focus more on the religion, religion destroys and brings about division and disunity as it is today in the Christian faith. Jesus Christ said He didn’t come to destroy the law.

Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish these things but to fulfill them. Matt. 5:17

Meaning that He did not come to give us a religion, but to fulfill the life that God the father gave us from the beginning, God didn’t give Adam and Eve a religion either, what He gave them was life, a pattern of life that befits His kingdom for us to make it through, although they both lost it to the devil in the garden.

The life of God was given to Jesus Christ who has given it to us as part of the redemption plan and this is the life of power and authority.

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. John 5:26 – 27

This life make us stand worthy before God and gives us access to God the father.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.

This is the life that leads the way for others to follow, an exemplary life. The life that converts, encourage, and inspire others.

Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” John 8:12.

Rather than living this life we are focusing on religion and fighting ourselves, Jesus didn’t give us religion He gave us life and that is the life of God Gal. 5:22 – 23

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness Gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”
