AMENDING YOUR MISTAKE
“For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, so that we should no longer be slaves to sin—” (Romans 6:6).
We all make mistakes, but God offers redemption and restoration. Through faith in Christ, we can:
- Acknowledge our sins (1 John 1:9)
- Repent and turn away (Acts 3:19)
- Seek forgiveness (Matthew 6:14-15)
- Make amends (Matthew 5:23-24)
God’s grace empowers us to learn from mistakes, grow, and become better versions of ourselves.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9).
When we make mistakes:
- Own up to them (acknowledge)
- Seek forgiveness (from God and others)
- Make restitution (where possible)
- Learn and grow
